Bio:
I started Decorative Art Painting when my children were young to have a creative outlet. Then when they were school age working as a Speech Pathologist and Coordinating the Community Rehabilitation Program took up most of my spare time.
Around 2008 I started attending an art class one day a week working on canvases, choosing my own pictures, and bouncing ideas off of a Russian instructor and other artists in the class. It’s always interesting and stimulating to see the wide range of artists work!
Now I try to paint even more often using acrylic as my choice of medium. Enjoying texture and vibrant colors this comes through on the pieces I paint. They are a mixture of scenery, flowers, animals, people and abstract paintings. I have had scenery pictures in the Rotary silent auctions at the Lobster and Steak Fry, sold several paintings privately and done commissioned work. Everywhere I go I see inspiration to paint!
